What keeps you busy in the Winter?

Although I fish heavily right into November, and find it to be the best time of the year, once ice begins to cover our lakes, the rods go into hibernation until the next year.

During the winter I go back into outdoor website building/updating mode... What do you all do? I'm sure some of you are into icin' it. What else keeps you occupied?

Besides cutting holes in solid water, tying flies for the upcoming season is a daily ritual

October is filled with Deer and Elk hunting, with some fishing mixed in on days when they mountain just isn't producing. November-February is usually a lot of rabbit hunting and a little ice fishing. Much of my free time last winter was spent on my fourwheeler plowing snow. Other than that it's sitting down in front of the computer keeping tabs on my favorite forums (Troutjournal, and Muleymadness) and getting lost in a game, this year it's Call of Duty 4. :D

I do it all here in California from fishing with ice to open lake fishing in the high sierras.

When it gets real cold I like to fish for a beer at the local tavern next to the lake the goto safeway and get some fish if my freezer has ran out.

that ususlly never happens for I always catch em even when its cold.

Once it gets too cold to go hunting, I focus on archery, I help coach a junior league and I tie alot of flies. This winter I am working at organizing a Project Healing Waters event in Canada.
