Ice fishing

I know it is early but is anyone getting there ice gear ready yet i was just playing with all my gear today the first ice trip of the season is the weekend of thanksgiving every year

We live in NE Pa and when it is too frozen over to trout fish we ice fish. I'm sorry to say
I'm a warm weather ice fisherman and actually I usually enjoy flipping burgers and dogs while the boys have at it but his year if the ice is favorable I'm going to give it a better more honorable try. My Brother is big into it and I think it sounds a ton better then watching TV with the crap that's on. Just to ask is it worth doing a night thing, with a campfire?
