Monster Brookies from the Past

Postby TroutJournal on Sat Aug 23, 2008 11:19 am

I'm the young feller on the right, with my brother on the left. My cousin is in the middle, and these were caught at I believe Tropic Reservoir in Southern Utah.

Lunkers eh? :)

Wow!!!! Nothing like I've ever seen around here. The biggest brookie caught in our family was a 4lb 6ounce stocked fish. Put up an amazing fight. I don't think that people appreciate that pound for pound that they are truly an amazing fish. I'd take them to rainbows and browns anyday.

Holy moly, Brett! No wonder brookies are your passion. I've caught some nice ones, but never with that kind of girth. One day I may just get down to your neck of the woods, and would love to spend a little time in those mountains east of Beaver with you.
