I use a wing burner and the church window feathers from a ringneck, just make sure you do it outside, it is a bit smelly. I picked up the dubbing from Ronn Lucas who is the only person I have found that supplies the golden stone dubbing of that type.
The Draper Hooks are a hunt and buy thing. Sometimes I get them on e-bay and sometimes up the street at the fly shop (or what passes for one here.)
The medium amber swannundaze or v-rib is meant to let some of the dubbing poke through and give it a buggy feel.
For weight I use a tungsten impregnated sheeting you can buy now, and stretch it over the fram and wrap a few layers of thread over it and give it a coat of clear nail polish.
