Any of you fish with Curly Q indicators? I haven't tried it yet but might replace my colored backing nymphing indicator with one and give it a go. It's a piece of mono wrapped around something about pencil thickness, taped in place , boiled 5 minutes and thrown in the freezer overnight. Looks like a fish line spring. Works the same. The coils expand when a fish takes it and also helps as a sort of shock absorber for soft mouth fish. Sprayed with floatant it lays on top of the water.
