Killing them on ants yesterday. Any favorite ant and terrestrial patterns?

Mine would have to be the Fur Ant.
Black, Cinnamon, or black and cinnamon mixed meaning
the abdomen and head being comprised of two diff colors.

I caught a bunch of rainbows(7) and one brookie on the
same fly over the weekend. I use Davy Wotton Squirrel
dubbing and it seems to hold floatant very well. I dont have
any black dry hackle so all my ants are tied with Metz brown.
Another thing......I must have tied them pretty symetrical
cause they were riding on their sides in the film
SO.....I took and trimmed the hackle off the bottom and
BINGO

Liking that ant. I don't tie but will see if my son has time to tie me a few before we leave for CO. If not I'll catch him over the winter to tie me up some.
