Well I bought my Brother his Christmas Present. I hope I did OK. I bought him an Orvis mid-arbor IV Battenkill reel. He can use it for trout but it's a bit too much but he can use it for smallmouth and steelhead. Yes pushing the envelope on all fronts. It's a 7-9, however Orvis get mixed up and sometimes says it's a 7-8. Anyway he's more the smallmouth bass type and steelhead type so I went for the heavier reel. (Even though I kick his butt everytime on smallmouth with my 5 weight) Hope he like it.
