Well, I just built my 3rd rod. This time, I did it all by myself. I can't tell you how satisfying and fun it was. I learned a lot from being guided or "taught" how to build a rod with my first two. But, doing one on my own really made things sink in and hit home and I think I learned a lot more that way.
Man was it fun. I need to do a lot more.

Re: New Rod
I know what you mean Brinx! Then you catch a fish on the rod you built and the fly you tied and it just doesn't get a lot better than that! Can you post a picture?

I like to see a photo also if you have the time, I haven't built one yet myself but have a friend who has built several of them and loves it.

Re: New Rod
That is something I really want to get into when I am done working on the house! First things first!
